A Time I Am Proud to Witness
There is something to be said as you watch your son grow from a little boy, into a young man, and then become a father. It pulls at my heartstrings as I watch my son with his daughter. As she cuddles with him while falling asleep and runs her fingers through the whiskers on his face. While he feeds her with the utmost patience and care. When she wraps her arms around his neck in an embrace when she is scared for him to protect her. The love he has for her and she for him is very evident and beyond words! It is a period in his life I am proud to witness!
Dear Elizabeth, every time I see your name I think of this post. I wanted to comment way back, but was traveling…..I relate to this so well…I watch my own son ( not a father yet ) but become a devoted husband. The way he nurtures and tends to his wife takes my breath away. Thank you for such a touching ( literally ) post. xoxo
