The Wise Trees
All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.
~ William Carlos Williams
Lovely photos, Liz, giving the trees a lot of emotion and ambience.

Thank you. I don’t do a lot in black and white but it just seemed appropriate for these photos

A beautiful poem about waiting for better times. And your photos express just that. I really love the first of them with the bare trunks forming an impenetrable wall against the rest of the forest.
