Thanksgiving 2015
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. I love spending time with my family. This year I had 24 family members. My motto is if you are cooking for more than five you might as well cook for fifty. I especially feel this way on Thanksgiving.
This year it was more important to me for us to be together as it is the first Thanksgiving we have had without my mother. It was so nice that many of us were able to come together to celebrate and enjoy each other’s company. It doesn’t happen often. The fourth of July seems to be the other holiday my family all tries to get together.
Family came from far and near. My brother Tom and his wife Jody came in with my nephew Rob from Toronto, Ontario in Canada. My niece Kim was here from St. Thomas. My other niece Mandy was here from Hawaii. And there were all the local family.
I have to admit though that this only represents half my family. We have another contingent in Connecticut, which is just as large if not larger. My brother Dana lives there with all his grown children and their families near by. Then there is my niece Jen in Dubai with her husband and children. So although many made it there were still many who celebrated elsewhere.
I hope you all had as nice a Thanksgiving as we did and spent time with those you love.
What a nice family gathering. And lovely photos, bringing it all alive.
