Which Do You Prefer?
I’m working on my still life images again. I would love to know which one of these images you prefer. My favorite is the first. I’m not positive why. I think because it is a little muted but there is still a pop of color from the strawberries and grapes. At the same time I like that you can see most everything on the board. Just a little of the grapes falls outside the frame. It also appears as though the center of the photo is in a spotlight while the shadows on the edge creep in. So what appeals to you?

I like the first one best, too. Love to composition it reads in a circular motion left to right with my eye ending on the strawberry in the center of the image. I do love the second close up one of the strawberries, too. But for a different reason… they look so yummy, I want to eat them. 🙂

I do like them all but if I can only pick one I would have to go with the top one also, for all the reason you said…the grapes look really good.

I agree with you. The first is framed well. The others seem cut off in comparison. I also like that you can see the surface texture of the wood table.
