Another Fabricated Still Life

So far I like this still life the best. I had a great time setting up this shot. I had to squat on a chair and shoot at an angle. I didn’t care for the perspective looking straight down on the area. When I squatted a little I liked the new view it gave me. I think it makes for a great framed print.
Below is the second shot I took on the same day. I had to time it just right so the butter was melted a little on the toast but not all the way. Time was of the essence. Of course neat freak that I am my first inclination was to edit out all the crumbs etc… on the plate. But then I realized that is what gave it an authentic perspective.
Elizabeth these still life’s are looking absolutely terrific but I am a sucker for b+w and this still life of yours has interest and a strong composition. But, I also loving the faded appeal of the colour photo. Hope you stay safe following the recent bouts of cold weather you have been having. Best regards, James

Elizabeth, you are right, the angle is great and I just love the tea cup. too. So will the lemon drizzle cake be your next subject? Sounds delicious.

I can tell you the cake will be a subject matter in the very near future. Hopefully I won’t eat all of it before I get to shoot any photos!
