French Farmers Market
I don’t know about where you live but here on Cape Cod, Farmer’s Markets have in the past few years started to come into (back into) vogue. People are taking the benefits of fresh produce seriously. While most Town’s in the area now have markets and they seem to improve and get larger each summer, I can say they nowhere near compare to the markets in France. Well at least the markets I have seen stateside. While hubby and I were in France we went to several markets there. The largest one was in Libourne where our friend Stephane Gabart (My French Heaven) took us. It totally blew my mind. There was everything there and I will be doing several posts showing all the amazing things we found for sale.
To start with the vegetables were the freshest I have ever seen. The colors were so vibrant. All were absolutely picture worthy. And so here are some pictures of the vegetables we saw.

I agree with you about the farmers markets in Europe…they are incredible.

You are doing such a great job on your France photo’s…I am failing miserably…I’m going to do better and print a book as soon as I can in the new year…
Your market photo’s are wonderful and we also stopped at many…just lovely…wish we had markets that went on for blocks down the road…my dream is to get back to Southern France soon…but in the meantime between the photo’s we both have I get carried back there every once in awhile…Merry Christmas Liz

I figure if I don’t use them they are going to get buried amongst the other thousands of photos I have. It was just too beautiful a country to let that happen! Merry Christmas to you too Cheryl!
