Rustic Red Barn
I don’t know what it is about old, rustic, dilapidated buildings that I love. I just feel as though they have so much character. I love to photograph them. This one is in particularly good shape. It actually is behind my friend’s beautiful old farmhouse and surrounded on all sides by cornfields. It is the most ideal setting. Below is a picture of the cornfields that surround it!
Old barns are beautiful but unfortunately we seem to be loosing many to neglect. Love your photo of a barn that looks well loved.

Totally agree but they do make for good picture taking opportunities!

Lovely capture, Elizabeth. Red barns have a lot of character and lighten up our surroundings. I don’t know what Norway would look like without its red barns and white houses to match. 🙂

I love old barns, too and saw many growing up in Oregon. Unfortunately, don’t see many here in the Los Angeles area. The lighting and details are beautiful in both of your pictures.

I totally agree with you! 🙂 Today I visited this haunted looking cabin but it was quite a pleasure to photograph it. Check it out for yourself 🙂 http://ridajafar.wordpress.com/2014/08/07/a-walk-to-the-haunted-cabin/#more-303
