Our Word View – Word of the Week = FLOURISH
SUNDAY POSTING ~ A COLLABORATIVE BLOG BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS (ME AND MY FRIEND BARB) WHO’S PATHS WERE SEPARATED FOR 20+ YEARS AND HAVE FOUND ONE ANOTHER ONCE AGAIN ONLINE. BOTH SHARE A LOVE OF THE OCEAN, NATURE, FAMILY, PETS AND OF COURSE PHOTOGRAPHY! A FONDNESS FOR INSPIRATIONAL SAYINGS HAS SPARKED THIS PROJECT. EACH SUNDAY WE WILL POST THE “WORD OF THE WEEK” AND OUR INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION OF THE WORD VIA TWO SEPARATE PHOTOS ON OUR BLOG “OUR WORD VIEW”!
flourish |ˈfləriSH|verb [ no obj. ] (of a person, animal, or other living organism) grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous
Several weeks ago my family took a trip to Connecticut to visit with some old family friends and to celebrate the 90th birthday of a wonderful woman. Our friend’s house was set in a beautiful and scenic location. It’s an old New England farmhouse surrounded by wildflowers and acres of cornfields. It was such a gorgeous spot.
The photo above shows what our friends look out on in all directions. It shows how the corn and wildflowers simply FLOURISH in this location. And to top it all off there was the most beautiful tree swing hanging from a glorious old tree. It was a spot right out of a movie!
