Our Word View – Word of the Week = USEFUL
SUNDAY POSTING ~ A COLLABORATIVE BLOG BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS (ME AND MY FRIEND BARB) WHO’S PATHS WERE SEPARATED FOR 20+ YEARS AND HAVE FOUND ONE ANOTHER ONCE AGAIN ONLINE. BOTH SHARE A LOVE OF THE OCEAN, NATURE, FAMILY, PETS AND OF COURSE PHOTOGRAPHY! A FONDNESS FOR INSPIRATIONAL SAYINGS HAS SPARKED THIS PROJECT. EACH SUNDAY WE WILL POST THE “WORD OF THE WEEK” AND OUR INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION OF THE WORD VIA TWO SEPARATE PHOTOS ON OUR BLOG “OUR WORD VIEW”!
I look at this bicycle and not only do I think of it as “USEFUL” but the beauty of it is very evident. There was a time when it served another purpose, to transport us from one spot to another. But those days have gone by. Alas not to be thrown in the junk pile this gorgeous bike has been dressed up and now serves a new “USEFUL” purpose. It is a decorative item in my sister’s landscape. Not only pretty but patriotic and throw in a nautical theme representative of it’s seaside location!
What a beauty this is, Liz, and I am so glad to see that it is still being used.

Liz, I love to see pieces like this in someone’s landscape. What a creative way to reuse something in a new and unique way. I especially enjoy the color play between the red bucket and teal green of the bike. Beautiful.

It looks in good enough condition that it could be restored.
