Black Eyed Susan
Black Eyed Susan’s pop up in gardens all over Cape Cod in late July into August. To me they just resonate happiness. And yet at the same time they are one of the last flowers to bloom in abundance in my garden. I love to see them come but I also know that as their blooms fade it means the inevitable approach of fall. And while fall in New England is a most beautiful time of year it is followed by the long, cold and dreary winter. But enough of that for now I will enjoy the bright and vivid color these flowers add to our landscape for the next couple of weeks.
