Our Word View – Word of the Week = XENOPHILE
SUNDAY POSTING ~ A COLLABORATIVE BLOG BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS (ME AND MY FRIEND BARB) WHO’S PATHS WERE SEPARATED FOR 20+ YEARS AND HAVE FOUND ONE ANOTHER ONCE AGAIN ONLINE. BOTH SHARE A LOVE OF THE OCEAN, NATURE, FAMILY, PETS AND OF COURSE PHOTOGRAPHY! A FONDNESS FOR INSPIRATIONAL SAYINGS HAS SPARKED THIS PROJECT. EACH SUNDAY WE WILL POST THE “WORD OF THE WEEK” AND OUR INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION OF THE WORD VIA TWO SEPARATE PHOTOS ON OUR BLOG “OUR WORD VIEW”!
XENOPHILE (Noun) An individual who is attracted to foreign peoples, manners or cultures.
When I read the definition of this word I immediately thought of my husband and I. We love to go to foreign countries. We are always enthralled with the people we encounter and their customs. And during every trip we talk about how wonderful it would be to pack up all our belongings, throw caution to the wind, forego all responsibility and move! Oh if only! There are so many places in this world we still have to visit. And bit-by-bit we will peck away at all of them!
