The Novelty of the North End
I really can’t tell you what it is about Boston’s North End that I absolutely love, love, love. Perhaps it’s the most phenomenal, excellent and authentic Italian food you’ll ever have. Could be the over the top pastries from places like “Modern Pastry” or “Mike’s Pastry”. Then there is the charm of the Brownstone buildings that line the street. All in all they make up for one incredibly, stimulating experience.
One of my favorite areas of Boston…love the coffee machine at Vittoria. It is a must stop when we take friends to the North End.

I have never actually tried the coffee machine. I’ll have to give it a whirl next time I’m in town.

Thanks for bringing back our lovely memories! Did I tell you that when we were there…we tried 4 times to get into one of the bakeries…lines around the block…sigh.

Love the North End. We take the Downeaster to the north station and walk a few blocks over and enjoy the bakeries and coffee shops.

Isn’t it the best? Especially now that the expressway is underground and it’s all parks!
