Schooner, Skiff, Dory, Sail, Fishing, Lobster Boats
I’m not sure what it is but one of the things I love to photograph is boats. The more worn and beat up they are the more I love them. I really enjoy taking pictures of harbors full of fishing and lobster boats. Possibly because it represents a large way of life here in New England. Not to mention there are so many beautiful harbors dotted with boats it just makes for such a picture perfect setting.
Blowing over a silver sea,
There’s a joyous voice in the lapsing tide
That calls enticingly;
The mist of dawn has taken flight
To the dim horizon’s bound,
And with wide sails set and eager hearts
We’re off to the fishing ground.
