Our Word View – Word of the Week = AUTUMN

SUNDAY POSTING ~ A COLLABORATIVE BLOG BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS (ME AND MY FRIEND BARB) WHO’S PATHS WERE SEPARATED FOR 20+ YEARS AND HAVE FOUND ONE ANOTHER ONCE AGAIN ONLINE. BOTH SHARE A LOVE OF THE OCEAN, NATURE, FAMILY, PETS AND OF COURSE PHOTOGRAPHY! A FONDNESS FOR INSPIRATIONAL SAYINGS HAS SPARKED THIS PROJECT. EACH SUNDAY WE WILL POST THE “WORD OF THE WEEK” AND OUR INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION OF THE WORD VIA TWO SEPARATE PHOTOS ON OUR BLOG “OUR WORD VIEW”
Just about this time last year hubby and I spent a week on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Also where you will find Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. This is not our first time there. It just so happens I love it there along with many other spots on the coast of Maine. It’s quite a drive from our house. A good six hours when we are pulling our Travel Trailer. But to me it is one of the prettiest spots in Maine. The entire island is surrounded by nothing but small harbors which house fishing/lobster boats galore. I can not begin to explain the beauty. The middle of the island has mountains and most of the island itself is a park with woods/forest galore. The picture opportunities are absolutely endless. We stay in a campground which is on an inlet of the ocean. Our site is right on the ocean and out trailer about 25′ from the water. To me there is nothing more perfect than this place! It is quiet, isolated and breathtaking! It is the perfect spot to go and decompress from the hectic rat race that is our normal day to day life! Even on a rainy day I am happy to sit in the trailer and watch the seals, blue heron, loons, seagulls, and endless other wildlife that entertain us.

Well we will be going back very soon and I can hardly wait! Rest and relaxation here I come!
