Tantalizing Tuesday – Raspberry Squares – 6/26/12
AN ASSORTMENT OF WONDERFUL THINGS I HAVE EITHER COOKED OR EATEN AT RESTAURANTS, BAKERIES AND ESTABLISHMENTS I HAVE VISITED WHICH I RECOMMEND TO YOU. SOME POSTS INCLUDE THE RECIPES. (SOME EVEN DIDN’T HAPPEN ON TUESDAY BUT SSSHHH DON’T TELL!)
6/26/12 RASPBERRY SQUARES!

- 2 sticks of butter (melted)
- 2 1/4 C Flour
- 1/2 C Sugar
- Jar Raspberry Preserves (or Apricot)
Mix melted butter, sugar and flour to form a dough. Put 3/4 of dough into a 13×9″ pan and press down to form a bottom crust. Spread preserves over top of dough so entire pan is coated (not too thick). Sprinkle remaining dough over the preserves by crumbling in pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. (Careful not to burn jam and not to undercook dough!)
Melt butter in microwave.
Mix sugar and flour…
with melted butter…
use (clean) fingers to knead and form a dough.
Put 3/4 of dough in 13×9 pan & use spatula to spread out…
form a flat bottom crust…
spread jam over dough (not too thick)
Crumble remaining dough over the top with hands.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes ~ YUM!
