Plymouth Massachusetts Worth the Visit

For close to 15 years I worked near the waterfront in Plymouth Massachusetts. If you have never been to Plymouth to see the “Mayflower” or “Plymouth Rock” I must tell you that it has one of the prettiest harbors I have ever seen! In the summer time every inch of it is full of boats tied to their moorings.
The harbor is protected by a long spit of land called “Long Beach”. A beautiful stretch of sand and beach that rivals anything on Cape Cod.

“Captain John’s” Boats are available to take you to Provincetown or on whale watches.

Every road from the harbor leads up to the Main Street of Plymouth which is riddled with Restaurants and all types of stores. There actually is a great one mile loop which is perfect for walking that circles the waterfront up to Main Street, runs the length of the stores and comes back down to the waterfront again.

You will pass by Brewster Park at one point which in its self is worth a stop!
Across from the harbor is this beautiful bed and breakfast which offers wonderful views with a fantastic glassed in porch to sit on all year round!

One of the older homes in town is the “Sparrow House” which now sells pottery!

Up behind Main Street is another street which is set up high and it has beautiful big old homes which overlook all the stores and have a fantastic view of the water!
How lucky they all are to have this view!
Every type of architecture can be found on the streets of Plymouth!
If you ever have the time be sure and spend some time in and around this wonderful town!
